Everybody loves pasta with butter while with the great combination of fibre. This wholemeal pasta with broccoli is healthy , easy and a quick meal!

Ingredients

  • 350g penne pasta
  • 4 sliced cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅔ cup low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Preparation

  • Boil the pasta in salted boiling water in a large pot for 5 mins & then drain.
  • On the other side, fry the garlic in oil in a large pot & cover with a lid on medium heat until golden.
  • Add broccoli & cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Put in ¼ tsp of salt, cover & cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add butter, black pepper and red pepper flakes to the broth & ¼ tsp of salt, cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce has slightly thickened.
  • Add the boiled pasta & stir until heated & mixed well.
  • Once pasta is fully coated. Serve and enjoy.

Tips

  • Add salt and pepper as per your taste.
